Title 24 Changes:
Keep in mind that Title 24 applies only to new construction or to pool rehabs that go through the Health Department plan check. It does not affect the operation of existing facilities which is governed by a separate section of code, Title 22. There are two big equipment related sections that are especially important. One requires that all new and rehabbed pools have a NSF listed chemical feed system that includes a NSF listed chemistry controller. The other big equipment related change requires that a NSF listed UV System be provided on the feature pump piping of all spray parks. The UV System must have a UV intensity meter and be interlocked to shut off the feature pump if the UV intensity drops below 40 ml/cm2. Please see the link below for the building code.
