The RenovAction® process is based on the Myrtha technology, and specifically developed for the refurbishment of existing pools. The renovation process may include the walls, the floor covering, and the overflow gutter separately or in combination. What is really remarkable, is that the renovation process often does not need any destructive intervention of the existing structure.
The walls are modular panels of Myrtha stainless steel, laminated to the existing swimming pool surface.
The floor can be lined with the same Myrtha stainless steel as the walls. However, in a swimming pool the floor is not subject to stresses, and therefore the use of stainless steel is not necessary or appropriate. Is far more economic and practical to use a special reinforced PVC membrane (Alkor 2000), which can be laid, on the concrete floor. The reinforced PVC membrane is a proven product that has been used for over 30 years as a swimming pool waterproofing material, and should not to be confused or compared with traditional swimming pool liners.
Alkor 2000 is specially manufactured for commercial swimming pools. Smooth but not slippery, resistant to icing and to temperatures of up to 40° C, sanitised to prevent growth of algae and microbes, Alkor 2000 complies with the most stringent requirements of swimming pool norms.
The overflow gutter is constructed with the same material as the wall panels (Myrtha Inox). It is available in three standard versions, and if necessary, it may be also custom-designed.
