We always endeavor to be transparent with our customers; so, it’s important that we discuss the industry limitations as we head into economic recovery in the Aquatics Industry for the remainder of this year and possibly beyond.
As you may know from purchasing your own recent goods and services as a consumer, lead times have increased dramatically. This is true for commercial aquatic equipment as well. We are encouraging our customers to inspect their existing equipment and place orders now for necessary replacements; as well as placing orders for other planned capital equipment purchases, rather than when a failure occurs.
All our supply chains are experiencing increased lead times. Manufacturers are not as efficient as they were prior to the COVID-19 shutdown and there is a true shortage of raw materials and electronics. Even for products made in the USA, some components and raw materials are sourced outside the country, causing delays in manufacturing here at home.
Additionally, in 2020, KSI experienced disruptions with our on-going technician training, along with labor shortages while adjusting to administrative staff working remotely. Although, we have adjusted well, our clients may still experience longer than normal lead times for technician visits. Please plan early as you prepare your aquatic facility for the season ahead.

The ChlorKing HYPOGEN is a stand-alone, on-site generator optimized to produce hypochlorous acid with neutral pH, using ChlorKing technology. The system converts salt, water, weak acid, and electricity into an effective, safe and powerful solution that can substitute for a number of conventional disinfecting chemicals used on a daily basis. Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) is the most effective disinfectant in the chlorine family available in dilute solution. It reacts more rapidly than other chlorine-based disinfectants to oxidize organic matter, i.e. the critical components of microbial cells. Hypochlorous acid solution is generated on demand and applied where required to eliminate the logistical concerns of purchasing, trans-porting, storing, preparing, and using traditional chemical applications. The elimination of hazardous chemicals translates into reductions in regulatory paperwork, safety training requirements, safety inspections, and liability exposure
Regenerative Media Filters (RMF’s) are a more efficient alternative to sand or D.E. filtration.
Neptune-Benson’s Defender® filter uses up to 90% less water, takes up a quarter of the space, and uses less energy than traditional sand filters.
